I have been having AC problems for over two years; it would work for a while and fail again. I took it to Tidwell and when they gave me the price, I did not know if I wanted to spend another dime on it. I was thinking about selling the truck. My wife DEMANDED that I try one last time, and they did an OUTSTANDING JOB! We had scheduled a 6-hour road trip and Tidwell made it very pleasant! Thank you so much!!!!!

I had a great experience with Tidwell Auto Service. Yesterday, my engine splash shield started making noise on bumpy roads, and I even had to pull over and temporarily tie it up with a plastic thread I found on the roadside just to continue driving safely. When I took the car to Tidwell Auto Service, they explained that if the shield needed replacement, the part would have to be ordered. I was prepared to go ahead with the replacement, or at least have it removed temporarily until the new part arrived. Instead, they took the time to properly fix the existing shield and got everything secured again. To my surprise, they didn’t even charge me for the work they did. This was my first time using their service, and honestly, I regret not knowing about them earlier. It’s rare to find honest and helpful service like this these days. I truly appreciate their professionalism, kindness, and integrity. Highly recommend Tidwell Auto Service!

My transmission light went on while driving and I immediately drove to Tidwell (recommended by Grease Monkey across the street). They diagnosed and repaired at a fair price and did not try to sell me repairs I didn't need. Replaced all 4 coils for about 1/3 the price of the dealership. Will not go anywhere else from now on.

I couldn’t be happier about the service I received from Tidwell! I called to get a quote and let them know that I was planning on having my truck towed to their shop. A couple of hours later when the tow truck driver dropped it off, they had already secured the parts needed for the repair so that they could start working on it right away. The service was friendly, and the price was very reasonable. I will definitely use them again!

This place is always busy which is a great thing! Been taking the family cars here a little after COVID and we will not go anywhere else regardless of all the coupon gimmicks we get in the mail. Technicians are nice...they do an excellent quality job!!! I never had to set up an appointment but did today; it just shows the consumer that everybody is learning that this is the place to go for quality & honest auto service!

There are times, I don't want to give a five-star review and want to keep an establishment "my little secret" so they aren't flooded LoL BUT after taking my car to a couple shops this was the first, most knowledgeable, best price point mechanic shop. I can't not give them a perfect score and my business should I ever have car sadness in the future. I would give them five stars for trust, pricing, expertise and for having a Dr pepper machine and a bible in the waiting room

I brought my car in to deal with a check engine light due to squirrels eating the wiring. Tidwell addressed the problem quickly and cost effectively. They also pointed out several other problems with the car. These were relatively large problems. I brought the car back to fix these problems and the car was ready by the end of the day! Good work, timely, and appropriate costs. I am really impressed.

This family owned and run business has been in Plano since 1977. Their longevity, in such a competitive market, is due to the honest service and tight pricing on labor and parts and consistent long term results. I attest to Ask to speak to Troy Tidwell the owner, or Elizabeth; they are actively present and knowledgeable. I have asked them for a ride home on occasion (I live within three miles). If you are looking for car care that provides fair costs, reliable price estimates, and outstanding service than give Tidwell Auto a shot.

This is why Tidwell has been my trusted mechanic for over 10 years. Somehow, I hadn't changed the oil on my wife's car for a YEAR! (Usually get the oil changed when I take it in for a repair, and hadn't had any repairs). Tidwell changed the oil fast and for a good price, checked everything and topped off all the fluids, and that was it. You can trust Tidwell to do only the repairs you need and approve, and not scare you with repairs you don't need (or worse). This is a great neighborhood auto mechanic shop and is the only place I go for auto repairs and maintenance.
